Recruitment Coordinator – Students & Employment

Do you enjoy talking to people about what it’s really like to be a Tax Consultant? Are you passionate about H&R Block’s Income Tax Course and helping others discover a career in tax?

We’re looking for an experienced Tax Consultant or Office Manager to join People & Culture in a casual seasonal role supporting recruitment for both Income Tax Course students and tax season employment opportunities.

This role would particularly suit someone who has previous recruitment or HR experience, or someone who simply loves connecting with people, promoting H&R Block and helping others take their first step towards a career in tax.

What you’ll be doing

• Reaching out through LinkedIn and other channels to prospective Income Tax Course students and experienced tax professionals, particularly in locations where we have identified staffing needs.
• Reviewing and speaking with applicants for Income Tax Course scholarship opportunities.
• Assisting with advertising tax season vacancies, particularly in locations that are traditionally more difficult to staff.
• Conducting initial screening of applicants for identified vacancies and referring suitable candidates to the relevant District Management Team.
• Supporting prospective and enrolled Income Tax Course students through the early stages of their H&R Block journey.
• Keeping accurate recruitment and student records.

About you

You’ll ideally be a current Tax Consultant or Office Manager who knows H&R Block, understands the Income Tax Course and can genuinely talk to others about what a career as a Tax Consultant can offer.

We’re particularly looking for someone who:

• enjoys speaking with people and building rapport;
• is confident promoting the Income Tax Course and career opportunities with H&R Block;
• has previous recruitment or student coordination experience, preferably;
• is confident using LinkedIn, and is willing to proactively reach out to prospective candidates using LinkedIn's recruitment tools (training and access provided)
• has strong communication and organisational skills; and
• is comfortable using systems and keeping accurate records.

Your first-hand experience of H&R Block and tax season will be a real advantage. You’ll be able to give prospective students and candidates an authentic perspective on the Income Tax Course, working in our offices and developing a career in tax.
